More Diving!
Sep. 1st, 2008 06:33 pmSo instead of heading over to Eurofurence or Mephit Fur Meet, I was able to head back to Dutch Springs near Allentown, PA. It's a water-filled quarry that is now used for scuba diving. Besides meeting up with
nitropup ,
oryx , tiedupuk, and tiemeup helped arrange things and graciously hosted me.
At the quarry, I also got to meet up with
justincheetah ,
calapurr , UT Tiger,
ferian , and
bay_retriever who were also diving for the weekend.
The weekend was punctuated with scuba diving fun, a practice ice hockey session at a local rink (yes, i brought both my dive and hockey gear on the flight), and fun times just hanging out at the hotel. The Allentown and Bethlehem area is pretty quiet otherwise.
One of the highlights for the weekend was trying out the two types of full face scuba mask (AGA Divator MK II).

I'm on the right. Nitropup is on the left. Yes... I'm sure I look a bit more "asian" in the picture unfortunately. :P
Either way, it was a cool experience. Thanks again to all who convinced me to go and made it possible.
