Early voting...
Oct. 26th, 2008 05:36 pmSo I voted yesterday at the only voting place for my ward. Had to wait about 10 minutes to get checked in and receive my electronic voting card. Then had to wait about 15 minutes for an open machine.
In Chicago, we use the touch screens with your votes printed out on a separate paper roll.
I know the jokes will be coming out about how voting in Chicago is worthless as its all rigged or people vote often or that dead people vote. Who knows if how true each of those claims are...
But I went through the system and voted for the US President, the single US Senate race, my local US House of Rep race, and the some of the state offices. I skipped the question of those judges and such.
I can now to sit back and wait for the results...
But everyone else needs to go out and vote. Don't be part of the furryfail boat and skip voting!
PS. I'm not giving clues out to who I voted for. :)
