Just a Humble Remembrance - 9/11
Sep. 11th, 2008 08:36 pmI know lots of tributes have been going on today, and people will chose to remember (or not remember) this day in their own way.
I've decided to post an interesting picture that my family had in our photo album from the early 1980's (that's as close as I can guess). Others will probably have similar photos.

For those that don't know, there used to be an indoor observation floor on the 107th Floor of 2 WTC (South Tower). If you go to the north side of this deck, you can look through the windows and see part of the 1 WTC (North Tower) to your left. I'm sure many people have taken similar photos to get a shot of Manhattan and part of the WTC. An elevator here would take you to the 110th floor and up to the roof to the open air observation deck.
I remember in awe of seeing the great city below and in the shadows of the North Tower from that window. Its a shame that view can never be seen again.
